PronoSport ("we", "the app") is a free football score-prediction game for Morocco's Botola Pro. This page explains what information we collect, why, who else ever sees it, and how to get rid of all of it.
What we collect
- Account identity. When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive a verified identifier for your account and, if you share it, your name and email address. We never see or store your Google or Apple password — we only ever receive proof from Google or Apple that you are who you say you are.
- Profile. A permanent, unique handle (generated for you), a display name you can change at any time, an optional favorite club, and an optional profile photo. An uploaded photo is immediately resized to a single small square image; the original file you picked is never stored.
- Gameplay data. The predictions you submit, the points they earn, the totals per season, per month and per matchday that your rankings are read from, and which private leagues you have joined or created.
- Notification settings. Your app language, and the three switches deciding which notifications you receive. Your language is stored on our side because notification text is written by us, in your language, rather than by the app.
- Push tokens. If you allow notifications, we store the push token the operating system issues for that installation, along with the platform (iOS or Android), so we know where to deliver. It identifies an app installation, not a device or a person, and it is removed when you sign out on that phone.
- Notification history. The notifications we have sent you, which are also what the bell inside the app shows. They hold the facts of the event (a match, a matchday, a position) — not the sentence, which is written when it is sent.
What we don't collect
No location, no contacts, no advertising identifiers, no third-party analytics or ad trackers, no behavioural profiling, and no payment information — the app has no payments of any kind. We do not read your photo library; you pick one photo and only that photo is uploaded.
How we use it
Solely to run the game: matching your predictions to real match results, computing your points, showing rankings and private-league tables, and sending the notifications you have left switched on. We do not use your data to advertise anything, and we do not sell it.
What other players can see
Your handle, display name, favorite club, profile photo and points are visible to other players through the global ranking, the club ranking, and any private league you are a member of. Your email address is never shown to anyone. Predictions on a match that has not kicked off yet are never shown to anyone but you.
Who we share it with
- Google / Apple — only to verify your sign-in. We send them nothing about your gameplay.
- API-Football — the source of fixtures, live scores and the league table. Data only ever flows one way, into the app: we send it nothing about you at all.
- Expo — delivers push notifications to your phone on our behalf, so it receives your push token and the text of the notification. It receives nothing else about you. Turning notifications off in Settings stops this entirely.
- Our hosting provider — runs the servers and the database the app is stored on.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone else.
Where it's stored, and for how long
In a single PostgreSQL database on our hosting provider's infrastructure, in Europe. It is kept for as long as your account exists. Notifications older than a few months are cleared out automatically; everything else stays until you delete your account.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account yourself, from inside the app: Profile → the "…" button → Delete account. It is immediate and permanent. It removes your profile, your photo, your email address, your predictions, your points and rankings, your private-league memberships, your push registrations and your notification history. Nothing is kept in a disabled or anonymised state, and there is no way for us to bring any of it back afterwards.
Two things deliberately survive, because they are not yours: a private league you created stays for whoever else is in it (it simply stops naming a creator), and match results and league tables are facts about football rather than about you. A league you were the last member of is deleted with your account.
If you would rather we did it, write to contact@pronosport.org from the address associated with your account.
Your other choices
- Change your display name, favorite club and photo at any time from the Profile tab.
- Turn any category of notification off in Settings, or all of them off in your phone's own settings.
- Signing out removes that phone's push registration, so it stops receiving notifications.
- Ask us for a copy of the data held about your account by writing to the address below.
Your permanent @handle cannot be changed — deleting the account is the only way to release it.
Children
PronoSport is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, write to us and we'll remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the update will be posted here with a new date at the top.
